Ratanakiri Province

Ratanakiri lies on the eastern border of Cambodia, bordered to the north by Laos, to the east by Vietnam, to the south by Mondulkiri and to the west by Stung Treng. The main income of the province is from gem mining and tourism. There are many rubber plantations which have the potential to bring good income to the local economy.

By far, Ratanakiri remains off the tourist track and there are no facilities for luxury holidays in the province. If you could forgo amenities, then Ratanakiri is a great destination on your travel itinerary to Cambodia with authentic culture, with untouched nature and rich wild life, as well as adventure experiences...

Ban Lung is the provincial capital of Ratanakiri Province and is the good base for exploring the different tourist attractions in the area. There are plenty to encounters with and shop the handicrafts from the local ethnic minorities who travel to town to trade. Travelling to Ban Lung from Phnom Penh by road takes 2 days.

Accommodations at Ban Lung include guest houses and clean hotels with air-conditioning facilities. Some hotels provide internet connections to the guests. There are no luxury hotels/resorts in Ban Lung as of writing.
