Locality: Dak Lak, Gia Lai, Khanh Hoa and Phu Yen Provinces.
Customs and culture
The E De live in houses on stilts. These houses are generally elongated facing north-south directions. One entrance is in the north and the other is to the south. The ladders to the house has female symbols. The children take the family name from the mother and the husband lives with his wife's family.
Language: E De language belongs to the Austronesian Group
Dress: Women wear a skirt and a vest with colourful motifs. Men wear loincloths.
Economy: The E De practice slash-and-burn agriculture. Nowadays many of their communities live on growing coffee in the Central Highlands of Vietnam.
