Customs and culture
The Khmer follow Brahmanism and Hinayana Buddhism.
Language: The Khmer language belongs to Mon-Khmer Group.
Dress: Skirts for women. The men have long trouses with large pants. The pants are usually tied to the leg at the bottom.
Economy:
The Khmer have a long tradition in wet rice cultivation. Fishing is also important to the Khmer communities.
