Customs and culture
The Lu follows Buddhism.
After burial, there'll be a ceremony to bring the soul to the pagoda.
The Lu houses are built on stilts.
The children take the father's family name. Boys have the same middle-name: "Ba"; and girls: "Y". The Lu are a very faithful group of people. Divorce is not comon in the Lu society.
The Lu main food is sticky rice.
Language:The Lu language belongs to the Tay-Thai Group.
Dress
Lu men wear trousers and women wear skirts. Their garments are indigo-dyed and decorated with colourful motifs.
Economy
The Lu practise slash-and-burn agriculture. They grow a lot of rice and cassava on terraces.
