Day1    Arrival in Luang Phabang

Arriving at Luang Phabang Airport, you’ll be welcomed and escorted to the city. Overnight in Luang Phabang.

 

Day2    Luang Phabang Day Trip To Pak Ou  Cave(B/L)

After breackfast, we’ll visit The former Royal Palace, now the National Museum. Then we’ll take the boat to Pak Ou Cave on the Mekong River to visit the mysterious  Cave Pagoda. Thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues are crammed into the two caves carved out of a towering limestone cliff. Move on to visit riverside village where rice wine is produced. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

  

Day3    Luang Phabang-Vientiane (QV104: 1440-1520) (B)

After breackfast, we’ll visit Vat Xieng Thong, Vat Sen, Vat Visun and Mount Phousi with panoramic views. Then we’ll continue with a visit to Kaungsi waterfall, the weaving village ( Phanom ), Xangkhong where traditional Lao textiles are woven on ancient wooden looms.

In the afternoon, we’ll take you back to Luang Phabang Airport for the flight to Vientiane. Arriving in Vientiane, we’ll take you to the hotel. Overnight in Vientiane.

 

Day4    Vientiane (B)

Starting the tour of Vientiane with Vat Sisaket, with its thousands of miniature Buddha statues, Vat Prakeo, Vat Simuang, the That Luang Monument and Vientiane’s own Arc de Triomphe, the Patouxai Monument. And then we’ll visit a state-owned workshop producing ceramics, woodcarving, bronze and copper work as well as traditional Lao musical instruments.

In the afternoon, we’ll visit Vat Simuang with its famous stone column that marks the spot where the city of Vientiane was founded. Continue to the National Museum which documents the history of Laos. We’ll have time for strolling along the breezy Mekong River bank or sipping cold beer somewhere on the riverfront before getting back to the hotel. Overnight in Vientiane.

 

Day5    Vientiane-Siem Reap (QV512: 0630-0900) (B)

A.M: You have free time until we take you back to Vientiane Airport for your flight to the legendary Temples of Angkor.

P.M: Arriving at Siem Reap Airport, our guide will welcome and escort you to the town for some refreshments. Then we’ll visit the region east of Siem Reap. This is the ancient temples and ruins that are found next to Roluos Town. Visit Bakong, Preah Ko and Lolei.

Late afternoon, drive to Phnom Bakheng to climb to the hilltop temple for experiencing sunset view over Angkor Wat and the countryside. Overnight in Siem Reap.

 

Day6    Siem Reap (B)

Rise early in the morning before dawn to adore sunrise over Angkor Wat from the Western Entrance or inside the temple itself. Return to the hotel for breakfast. Then we’ll continue our morning visit to Angkor Thom – South Gate, back on the bus to drive to the Bayon in the center of Angkor Thom. Enjoy a guided walk and free time at the Bayon. Walk to Elephant Terrace, the Terrace of the Leper King, Royal Enclosure and the Phimeanakas.

Return to Siem Reap for a rest.

In the afternoon enter the celebrated Angkor Wat. We’ll have 2 to 3 hours for a guided tour and free time to explore the upper levels of the Angkor Wat Temple. Overnight in Siem Reap.

 

Day7    Siem Reap-Hanoi (VN842: 1800-2000) (B)

Take a long morning drive through the countryside to visit Banteay Srey with some of the most impressive deep sculptures found in the region.

In the afternoon take a trip to visit Banteay Kdei, Ta Prohm (embraced with huge creepers) and Takeo. Bidding farewell to the fabled Temples of Angkor, we’ll board the afternoon flight bound for Hanoi, an elegant city with beaming smiles. Arriving at Noibai Airport, you’ll be welcomed and escorted to the hotel. Overnight in Hanoi.

 

Day8    Hanoi City Tour. Hanoi-Laocai (B)

We have full day exploring this 1000 year old capital of Vietnam. We’ll visit: HoChiMinh area (maybe HoChiMinh Mausoleum will be closed at this time for annual maintenance), the Temple of Literature, Quan Thanh Temple and and HoanKiem lake. In late afternoon, we’ll take a ride on our rickshaw weaving the Old Quarter of Hanoi. In the evening, we’ll have one hour enjoying the traditional water puppet performance. In the evening, we’ll board the luxurious night train bound for Laocai. Overnight on board the train.

 

Day9    Arrival at Laocai. Laocai-Sapa (B)

Arriving at Laocai, we’ll have a scenic drive to Sapa town surrounded by cloud. we’ll check into our hotel and have the rest of the morning at leisure for refreshment.

In the afternoon, we’ll have a walking tour to visit CatCat Waterfall and the a village of the Black H’Mong. Overnight in Sapa.

 

Day10   Sapa (B)

A.M: Have a trekking trip through Xaoxeng and Hangda Village home to the Black H’Mong and back to the town.

P.M: We’ll take a scenic drive to Taphin village of the Red Zao and the Silver Waterfall. From here we can have a panoramic view of Sapa. Overnight in Sapa.

 

Day11   Sapa-Hanoi (LC: 1020-2000) (B)

After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll take the luxurious train back to Hanoi. Arriving at Hanoi train station in the evening, we’ll drive back to the hotel and have free time at leisure. Overnight in Hanoi.

 

Day12   Hanoi-Perfume Pagoda (B)

A.M: We’ll drive to Perfume pagoda, then enjoy one hour rowing boat trip on the scenic Yen River along the HuongTich mountain range to the gate of the Buddhist World.

P.M: Hike to the top of the HuongTich Mountain where HuongTich (the Traces of Fragrance) is located. During the festival time which is from January to April, Perfume Pagoda receives about 30 000 Vietnamese Buddhist Pilgrims/day. Overnight in Hanoi.

Notes: This day trip may be hard for those that have difficulties in hiking. Hiking boots are advised.

 

Day13   Hanoi-Halong Bay Junk Cruise (B/L/D)

We’ll drive through the Red River Delta to Halong Bay. Upon arrival, we’ll embark our traditional junk, have a French wine as the welcome drink. The rest of the day is for enjoying the cruise on the pristine emerald water of Halong Bay. We’ll visit SungSot amazing cave and Titop Beach before docking for the night. Overnight on board the junk in the wilderness of Halong Bay.

 

Day14   Halong Bay-Hanoi (B/L/D)

A.M: After breakfast on board our junk surrounded by tranquil mountains, we’ll get our little sampan to visit a lagoon. Then we’ll continue our cruise into the infinity of Bai Tu Long Bay. We have our last feast on board and bid farewell to the crew at 12:00 Noon.

P.M: We’ll drive to Bacninh region home to the famous traditional music of Quanho. We’ll have a ride on water buffalo carts through the paddy field to the center of the village where Quanho singers show us the beautiful lyrical songs in the ancient community house. Drive back to your hotel in Hanoi. Overnight in Hanoi.

 

Day15   Hanoi-Hue (VN245: 1240-1350) (B)

A.M: Free at leisure until our guide escorts you the airport for the flight to Hue Imperial city.

P.M: Arriving at Phubai Airport, our tour guide and driver will escort you to the city. We’ll visit the Ancient Citadel and the exotic Dongba market before getting to your hotel. The rest of the day is free at leisure. Overnight in Hue.

 

Day16   Hue-Hoian(B)

A.M: Have a cruise on the scenic Perfume River to visit the Thienmu Pagoda. Then we’ll continue our trip by van to visit the tombs of kings Tuduc and Khaidinh.

P.M: We’ll drive to Hoian Ancient Town used to be famous for the trading port back in the 15-18th centuries. We’ll visit the Langco Beach, the Marble Mountains and China Beach on the way. Arriving in Hoian late in the afternoon, we’ll check into our hotel and have the free time at leisure. Overnight in Hoian.

 

Day17   Hoian(B)

A.M: We’ll have a walking tour amid the narrow streets of the town to visit old merchant houses and Chinese Congregational Assemblies and a Museum.

P.M: Free time at leisure for shopping or relaxing on the pristine beach of Cuadai. Overnight in Hoian.

 

Day18   Hoian-Danang-Saigon(VN325: 1330-1440) (B)

You’ll have free time until our van transfers you back to Danang Airport for your flight to Saigon.

Arriving at Tan Son Nhat Airport, our guide and van will escort you to the city. We’ll have an oriented walking tour of Saigon including the former US Embassy (presently US Consulate), the Cathedral, the General Post Office. Then we’ll get to your hotel for the check-in. You’ll have the rest of the day free at leisure. Overnight in Saigon.

 

Day19   Saigon-Caibe-Vinhlong-Saigon(B/L)

In the morning, we drive for 3 hours to Cai Be, then we'll take a boat trip to Vinh Long. During the trip we'll enjoy the bustling floating market; have the tropical fruits right in an orchard; visit family businesses such as pop-corn, rice-paper making…We'll have lunch at a bonsai garden. After the boat trip, we'll get back to the car and drive back to Saigon. Overnight in Saigon.

 

Day20   Saigon 1/2 day City Tour (B)

A.M: We’ll visit the War Remnants Museum. Then we go down to visit Binh Tay market located in the heart of the China town and visit ThienHau pagoda. We'll go to the Reunification Palace after that, where you'll find some historical memories of the past. We'll drive around to the Emperor of Jade Temple, and then we’ll get back to the hotel.

P.M: Free at leisure. Overnight in Saigon.

 

Day21   Departure (B)

You have free time until our guide and van escort you back to the airport for your departure flight. Time to bid farewell to the infectious smiles of Vietnam.
