A GLIMPSE OF HALONG BAY

Hanoi-Halong-Haiphong 

Day1: Hanoi-Halong (L)

   We start at 8.30  for the 3.5 hour drive(170 km)  from Hanoi to Halong city.The drive goes through the Red River delta, so we'll have plenty of chance for taking photos of Vietnamese farmers tilling the vast green paddy field. At half way, we'll have a visit to a handicraft workshop with fine clothes and embroidered paintings. Upon arrival in Halong city, we board our private boat, cruise for five hours through many green limestone mountains on the pristine emerald water of this World Heritage site. Visiting the beautiful limestone caves and enjoying the fresh local seafood are highlights of the trip. After the cruise, we drive to Halong city for our hotel. Overnight in Halong city.

Day2:  Halong-HaiPhong- Hanoi (B,L)  

After breakfast, we drive 2.5 hours(70 km) to Haiphong colonial city. We take 2 ferry-rides to get to Haiphong. In Haiphong city, we will visit the  famous DuHang Buddhist Pagoda , have a walk around the French quarter, the flower market. After lunch, we drive 2 more hours back to Hanoi finishing the tour.
