THE GREEN RICE PADDIES OF THE NORTH TOUR

PhatDiem-Hoalu-Tamcoc-BichDong

Day1: Hanoi-PhatDiem-NinhBinh   

In the morning, we drive 130 km(2 hours) from Hanoi to NinhBinh visiting PhatDiem Stone Cathedral which was designed by a Vietnamese architect in  1875. Drive back to NinhBinh town for lunch. Drive to Hoalu visiting the ancient capital of Vietnam in the 10th century. Overnight in NinhBinh town.(International standard hotels are not available in NinhBinh)

Day2: NinhBinh- TamCoc- BichDong-Hanoi (B)

   At 9.00 am, we drive 7 km from NinhBinh town to TamCoc. Take a3-hour bamboo boat rowing on the local canal, in the middle of the everchanging-color rice field surrounded by limestone mountains, traveling through 3 underwater caves enjoying the tranquility of Vietnam's countryside. Then we drive 2 km further to 15th century BichDong pagodas built into limestone mountain cliffs. Drive back to Hanoi .
