Dak To – Tan Canh, over 45km northwest of Kon Tum City, is a valley with rolling hills and mountain ranges running westward all the way to the border with Laos and Cambodia.

Battlefield Tour in Kon Tum – Dak To – Tan Canh Overview

The area was the site of a series of battles between the US Army and the Army of Vietnam Republic on one side and the People's Army of Vietnam (PAVN) on the other side from 3rd-23rd of November, 1967. Dak To was also the battlefield of the Campaign of the North of the Central Highlands by PAVN into South Vietnam Republic's strongholds in 1972.

Detailed itinerary

The half a day tour to Dak To and Tan Canh brings you to the former battlefields at Dakto: Phoenix Airstrip - the former Airbase of the 4th Infantry Division, the Skull Hill (Hill 601) with strategic position in controlling Kontum as well as Dakto, Tan Canh, Ben Het. The area around Hill 875 is strictly forbidden now. Travel back to Kon Tum at mid day.
