Religion & Ideology in Vietnam

Traditionally and ultimately the Vietnamese practice ancestor worshipping. This still plays the most important part of the Vietnamese spiritual life. This tradition actually helps make the spiritual life and religious life in Vietnam very characteristic and colorful. Besides the Vietnamese also practice the worshipping of the Mother of the Land.

Quy Nhon

Quy Nhon is the capital city of Binh Dinh Province. The city is known to the travellers as having pristine strips of fine sandy beaches. The vicinity also offers ruins of the Cham Culture which existed in Central and South Central Region of Vietnam from 2nd century through the 15th century. Quy Nhon is a transit spot for the travellers heading between Nha Trang and Hoi An or Da Nang or between the coastal areas and the Central Highlands of Vietnam.

Postage in Vietnam is fairly inexpensive and reliable. There are tens of companies servicing postal service within Vietnam and between Vietnam and other countries such as VNPT, EMS, Saigon Post, DHL, FedEx...to name a few. As Vietnam is a member of the World Trade Organization and Vietnam's international trade is growing, it's expected that there are more and more postal companies expanding their network to Vietnam.

Phu Quoc Island

Phu Quoc Island of Vietnam is located in Rach Gia Gulf, 62 nautical miles north-east of Rach Gia Town of Kien Giang Province and 25 nautical miles east of Ha Tien Town. The farthest distance from the north to the south of the island is 49km and the farthest from the west to the east is 27km.

Phan Thiet Mui Ne

Mui Ne of Phan Thiet Vietnam is a sleepy fishing town 200 km (4 hour drive) northeast of Ho Chi Minh City. The region of Phan Thiet Mui Ne is beautiful with many sand dunes and white sand beaches, crystal clear water. Phan Thiet Mui Ne is good for anyone who likes to relax and have easy holidays. Accommodations at Mui Ne at Phan Thiet are good with many luxurious resorts and bungalows with private beaches. Some resorts have private beaches.

Perfume Pagoda

The Perfume Pagoda is actually a complex of pagodas built into mountain cliffs located 60 km (2 hour drive) southwest of Ha Noi. This area is the destination for Vietnamese Buddhist Pilgrims during Buddhist festival time which is from the 6th of the first lunar month through the 15th of the third lunar month. In the festival's time, Perfume Pagoda may receive up to 30, 000 visitors/day.

Vietnamese People & Population

Vietnam is home to over 54 minorities of which the Kinh accounts for over 87%. They have long history and culture which influences dramatically into the Vietnamese political and societal life. The King inhabit all over the country. Apart from the King, there are the Cham People in the Central Region and southern Vietnam, the Kh'mer in the Mekong Delta. The Hoa people (or Chinese people in Vietnam) live scatteredly all over the country, but most of them live in Ho Chi Minh City, or Saigon.
