Dong Van Rock Plateau is the highland in the most extreme north of Vietnam with majority of the terrain at 1,400-1.600m above sea level and with over 80% of the surface covered by just rocks and with high concentration of rocky peaks of over 2,000m above sea level. The rock of Dong Van is said to contain fossils of 400million-600million years ago. The Rock Plateau of Dong Van was admitted to the member of UNESCO Global Geoparks Network on 3-October-2010.
Phu Dong Temple - Hanoi
The Phu Dong Temple is in Phu Dong Village, Gia Lam District, Hanoi, Vietnam. The Temple was first built by King Hung Vuong VI, then rebuilt in the 11th Century A.D by King Ly Thai To, after he moved the capital city from Hoa Lu - Ninh Binh to Thang Long (Hanoi now). Phu Dong Temple is dedicated to a Vietnamese National Hero - Saint Giong (Thanh Giong), who defeated the invaders and went back to heaven after the country was liberated.
Tuan Chau Island - Halong Bay
Tuan Chau Island is on Halong Bay of Vietnam, 8km from Halong City. From the late 1990s, Tuan Chau Island has been built into an entertainment area of Halong City. There are luxurious resorts, theme parks, entertainment corners and casinos on the island. There is a quarter to the south-west of the island that's home to a small community of local residents, while the rest of the island is reserved for commercial purposes.
The Hung Kings Temple - Phu Tho
The Hung Kings Temple (Den Hung) is a complex of temples first built in the 10th century A.D on the Nghia Linh Mountains, 10km from Viet Tri City (of Phu Tho Province) and 90km from Hanoi. Much of the complex nowadays was constructed in the 15th century. The Temple is dedicated to Hung Kings (Vua Hung), the Founder Kings of Van Lang , the first Vietnamese-identity kingdom dated back to 2879 B.C.
Chen Kieu Pagoda - Soc Trang
Chen Kieu Pagoda is a Khmer-styled pagoda in the Mekong Delta province of Soc Trang. Chen Kieu Pagoda is 10km from Soc Trang City, the capital city of Soc Trang Province.
