To Thi Mountain - Lang Son City

To Thi Mountain (The mountain of Lady To) is a cluster of mountains in Tam Thanh Ward, on the north-western edge of  Lang Son City. It is a must to visit To Thi  Mountain if you ever have a chance to travel to Lang Son City.

Dong Van Old Quarter - Ha Giang

Dong Van Town is nestled in a valley in the heart of the Rock Plateau of Dong Van in Ha Giang Province. The town has a cluster of houses that line the street that one end leads to the road to Yen Minh Town and the other end takes you to the sublime beauty of Ma Pi Leng Pass and Meo Vac Town. Dong Van Town is surrounded by rock mountains with a sheer color of gray all year round.

Pac Bo - Cao Bang

Pac Bo is in Ha Quang District of Cao Bang Province, 50km from Cao Bang Town. Pac Bo was where Ho Chi Minh returned to Vietnam after 30 years traveling the world seeking ways to liberate Vietnam from the French rule.

 

Thang Long Citadel - Hanoi

In the seventh lunar month of 1010, King Ly Cong Uan moved the capital city of Vietnam from Hoa Lu (in Ninh Binh Province now) to Dai La City which he renamed Thang Long or the City of Ascending Dragon, which is nowadays Hanoi. In the same year,  lots of work were started to build palaces and auxiliary buildings to house the royal family and the royal court.

At the end of 1010, some buildings were finished and so was the wall that surrounded those buildings, the complex made up the Royal Citadel of Thang Long (also called Phuong Thanh, or Hoang Thanh in Vietnamese).

Vietnamese Tet

When the peach blossoms make the winter in northern Vietnam warmer and the apricot flowers make the sunshines in the central region and southern Vietnam brighter, the Vietnamese would make the last efforts wrapping up everything and rush home to celebrate Tet. The Vietnamese People, being dead or alive, from all regions of the country, all corners on earth, all walks of life,  and even in the afterlife would rush home in a real hurry for Tet.
