
Ba Be Lake Trekking
Overview
Les’s go green to the mountains and forests of Ba Be National Park in the North Eastern Region of Vietnam. The tour is of adventure travel bringing us on a cultural and eco exploration. The tour accommodation is of basic and home-staying. Travel activities include walking, trekking, hiking, homestaying and boat cruising. Ba Be National Park is no doubt the best adventure tour getting away from the crowd.
Day-to-day itinerary
Day 1: Hanoi - Ba Be
Day 2: Ba Be - Hin Dam - Ba be (B,L)
Day 3: Ba Be - Pac Ngoi (B,L,D)
Day 4: Pac Ngoi - Ba Be-Hanoi (B)

Itinerary
Day 1: Hanoi - Ba Be
Leaving Hanoi in the morning, we travel for the 5-hour by road to Ba Be National Park via Thai Nguyen. We arrive at Ba Be National Park around lunchtime. In the afternoon, we’ll have a two and a half-hour of boat cruise on the peaceful water of Ba Be Lake, encircled by forest-covered hillsides. Overnight at Ba Be Park Guesthouse.
Ba Be National Park is 270 km north east of Hanoi. The whole area is of towering limestone mountains with evergreen forests alternated by flat low land. The elevation is from 150-m to 1098-m above the sea level.
The area around Ba Be National Park is also inhabited by some colorful ethnic groups with very tradtional lifeslye. This combines with the perfectly fresh eco system makes this an ideal destionation for nature and culture travelers.
Day 2: Ba Be - Hin Dam - Ba be (B,L)
Breakfast at the guest house.
We have a full day trekking and hiking tour through the primary forest to the remote H'mong village of Hin Dam. The adventure is of hard grade, but the view from the top is just stunning, the pristine forest flora, medicinal plants and the opportunity to visit a remote hill tribe settlement make it a rewarding and memorable experience. Total walking, trekking and hiking time is around 6 hours. We return to the park guesthouse for the night.
Day 3: Ba Be - Pac Ngoi (B,L,D)
Breakfast at the guest house.
We leave the park guesthouse and take a boat trip across the lake to the Tay fishing village of Coc Toc. After visiting the village with its fishermen and local handicrafts, we’ll travel along an easy trail through gardens and orchards to Bo Lu village. Our adventure tour from Bo Lu is through dense forest with trees of up to 2,000 years old.
In the end, we’ll arrive at the picturesque village of Pac Ngoi nestled between the forest and limestone cliffs at the mouth of the Cho Leng River. Lunch is in a traditional village house on stilts. In the afternoon, we’ll explore the village, take a ride in a dugout canoe, swim in the lake or hire a bicycle and cycle along the riverside trail. Dinner and overnight at the village house on stilts.
Day 4: Pac Ngoi - Ba Be-Hanoi (B)
After breakfast we travel back to the Park Headquarters by motorboat, then continue our journey back to Hanoi. Arriving at your hotel late in the afternoon. We trust you had a wonderful trekking tour to the national park of Ba Be with Paradissa Travel.
