Province de Phu Tho est située à l'ouest de Hanoï et est la porte d'entrée de la nature du Nord-Ouest du Vietnam. Phu Tho est peu connue des visiteurs étrangers au Vietnam, alors il est populaire parmi les Vietnamiens. La province était où les rois fondateurs du Vietnam (Rois Hung, Hung Vuong, Vua Hung) a commencé le premier royaume de Viet-identité et il y a encore des rois Hung Temple près de la capitale provinciale – la ville de Viet Tri.

 Phu Tho n'a pas de nombreuses attractions touristiques et n'est pas visitée fréquemment par les voyageurs étrangers au Vietnam. Pourtant, la province abrite la dernière partie de la montagne Hoang Lien, qui commence à partir de Sapa (province de Lao Cai), et qui offre des opportunités pour faire des aventures trekking à ceux qui voudraient sortir hors des sentiers battus.

Phu Tho is the sacred land to every Vietnamese. Visiting the Hung Kings Temple will get you more understanding of the Vietnamese culture. A trip to the temple from Hanoi takes a day and requires some good physical efforts, as the temples are located on different mountains.
