Northern Laos Adventure is a trekking tour around Luang Prabang in the North of Laos for 6 days, 5 nights.
The pace of travel is moderate hard with trip activities such as hiking and trekking. Accommodations include choices of decent hotels or luxury resorts in Luang Prabang and only simple guest houses at Muang Ngoi.
Most meals on the tour, except for daily breakfast and one lunch, can be arranged locally and are not included into the tour cost. Our adventure features the off the tourist track travel and the beauty of the fresh countryside outside of Luang Prabang.

Day1 Arrive at Luang Prabang/Free time (no included meals)
Arriving at Luang Prabang Airport, welcomed by our local tour guide and driver and transferred to the hotel. Free time.
Overnight at Luang Prabang.
Day2 Luang Prabang Hiking (3 hours): Ethnic Villages and Kuangsi Waterfall (B)
Breakfast at the hotel.
Take the trip by car to the Hmong Village of Ban Long Lao where we start our trekking adventure today. The landscape is fresh and the scenes include forested land, mountains and rice fields. We trek for 3 hours toward Kuangsi Waterfall, where our car should have been ready to transfer us back to Luang Prabang.
Free time for lunch and dinner.

Day3 Luang Prabang – Pak Ou Cave – Muang Ngoi (B)
Breakfast at the hotel.
Take the boat trip upstream to visit the pilgrimage Pak Ou Cave. Then, you have time for lunch (on your own account) at a local restaurant. After lunch, take the trip by car along the Nam Ou River for 2 hours and a half to Nong Kiaw. From here, we take a boat trip for 1 hour upstream further to Muang Ngoi (or Muang Ngoi Neu), an idyllic village by the riverside separated from mainstream civilization. Have free time to take in the tranquility of Muang Ngoi and the relaxing life of the locals.

Day4 Muang Ngoi Trekking (B/L)
Breakfast at the hotel.
Have 4 hours trekking through the untouched mountains, forests and rice fields of Muang Ngoi. On the trek, we visit Tham Kaang Cave where locals took shelter from bombardments in the war. Then, we have opportunities to visit the villages of the Khamu and Tai Deng at Ban Huay Boor and Ban Na.
Have picnic lunch en route.
Then, return to Muang Ngoi and have free time.
Overnight at Muang Ngoi.
Day5 Muang Ngoi – Luang Prabang/Free time (B)
Breakfast at the hotel.
Enjoy the boat trip downstream to Nongkiaw where we rejoin our car for the return trip to Luang Prabang.
Free time.
Overnight at Luang Prabang.
Day6 Depart Luang Prabang (B)
Breakfast at the hotel.
