Photo Tour of Vietnam Overview
Our photo tour to Vietnam's Far North gets you lost in one beauty after another:
- You will be charmed by the golden rice terraces of Hoang Su Phi;
- You will be struck dumbfounded by the mountain vistas on the road from Hoang Su Phi to Xin Man and Bac Ha;
- And you will be overwhelmed by colors of the two weekend markets of Can Cau and Bac Ha.
On the trip, Paradis sa's photography guide will help you to practice skills for landscape photography and people photography. At the end of a day, we will have time for reviews and critiques of photos of each person. Throughout the journey, you will gradually learn how to take the very essentials of a target into your photo, so that each of your work tells a story.
Remember that we will shoot photos of ethnic people at 2 of the most authentic and colorful markets in the Far North of Vietnam. In our experience, some of our fellow travelers are too overwhelmed by the first market with moving targets, with embarrassment of pointing your cameras towards another person... You will learn to overcome fears, get acquainted with your targets, take photos of people doing their routine work naturally... You will surely find yourself much better at the second occasion. Also by the end of the trip, you will have an amazing photo collection of people's visages, some of which will define beautiful moments of your life.
All the meals on the trip are included and accommodations of comfort at each locale.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1-2 Hanoi – Hoang Su Phi (L/D)
The Road trip from Hanoi to Hoang Su Phi goes through some beautiful rice fields of golden colors. The late afternoon of the first day and the full day on the second is for shooting photos amid the hypnotizing golden rice terraces of Hoang Su Phi.
Day 3 Hoang Su Phi rice terraces on high altitude – Bac Ha (B/L/D)
The morning is for shooting rice terraces on high altitude in Hoang Su Phi. Then, be ready to have your breaths taken away by the mountain vistas, the deep mountain gorges, the hill sides covered by golden rice terraces from Hoang Su Phi to Xin Man and Bac Ha.
Day 4-5 Can Cau Market, Bac Ha Market/Bac Ha – Hanoi (B/L)
Have our itinerary filled with activities: shooting photos at 2 markets, shooting landscape around Bac Ha and Si Ma Cai and photo workshop. Our last lunch in Bac Ha is the final chance for reviews of the whole trip, skills and photography tricks learned. Then road trip back to Hanoi. We trust you gained great skills and experience for your photography after the photo adventure with Paradissa.
