LAOS
Used
to be known in the past as Lan Xang (Land of a Million Elephants),
Laos is a landlocked and the most mysterious of the former French
occupied land. The country is covered mostly with dense forests
and rugged mountains, many of which are home to rare and endangered
species. Highlights include Vientiane-the capital city with a
combination of colonial weathered villas and the towering Buddhist
towers above trees; Luang Phabang claimed the best preserved city
in Asia and a World Heritage site; Vang Vieng famous with the
rugged river settings; the mysterious Plain of Jars in Xieng Khuang;
the South with the pre-Angkorian temple of Wat Phu and the 4,000
islands of Si Phan Don. The Lao people are devout Buddhists and
always show their genuine frendliness to foreign visitors. Even
though by far Laos is more laid back than its neighbors, but with
improved infrastructure many travelers have found the country
to be the highlights of their trips to the region. Paradissa Travel
team has shared part of our life with the locals of many regions
of the country and always would like to show the country with
its chaste beauty to the traveler community. Please don't hesitate
to contact us for any assistance relating to traveling in Laos.
We hope you have nice time touring our website and wish you relaxing
holidays to this evergreen country!
