Locality: Thua Thien-Hue and Quang Tri Provinces.
Customs and culture:
The life of the Ta Oi revolves around the coummunity house where all important affairs of the village are worked out and where the culture of the Ta Oi shapes up and forms. There's always a village leader who is well respected by the whole community to conduct all important work of the village.
Ta Oi is a patriachal community and all family property goes to the son. All chidren take the family name from the father.
The Ta Oi believe in animism.
The Ta Oi language belongs to the Mon-Khmer Group.
Dress: Women wear shirts and skirts, men wear loincloths and short vests.
Economy: The Ta Oi practice a slash-and-burn agriculture.
