Quang Ninh

Quang Ninh Province of Vietnam is located in the North-East of the country. Quang Ninh is bordered to the north by China, to the east and south-east by the East Vietnam Sea, to the south by Hai Phong, to the south-west by Hai Duong Province and to the west by Bac Giang and Lang Son Provinces. The capital city of Quang Ninh Province is Halong City which overlooks the famed Halong Bay in the Gulf of Tonkin, 140km from Hanoi.

Phu Tho

Phu Tho Province is located in the North-West of Vietnam; bordered to the north-east by Tuyen Quang Province, to the east by Vinh Phuc Province, to the south-east by Ha Tay Province (Hanoi now), to the south by Hoa Binh Province, to the west by Son La Province and to the west and north-west by Yen Bai Province. The capital of Phu Tho Province is Viet Tri City, 80km north-west of Hanoi.

 

Con Dao Island

Con Dao is an archipelago of 16 islands in southern Vietnam. Con Dao is 180km from Vung Tau, 230km from Ho Chi Minh City and 83km from the river-mouth of Hau Giang River in Can Tho City. The total land area of Con Dao archipelago is 75km2, the biggest island of the archipelago, which is called Con Lon or also called Con Dao, is 51km2. Con Dao is a district of Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province.

Thai Nguyen

Thai Nguyen Province was the capital of the liberated zone of Viet Bac in the resistance war against the French in the late 1940s and early 1950s. Thai Nguyen Province shares the border with Bac Kan Province to the north, with Lang Son and Bac Giang Provinces to the east; with Hanoi to the south and the provinces of Vinh Phuc and Tuyen Quang to the west. The capital city of the province is Thai Nguyen City, 67km from Hanoi.

 

Lang Son

Lang Son Province is located in the North-East of Vietnam, sharing the border with Cao Bang Province to the north, with China to the north-east, with Quang Ninh to the south-east, with Bac Giang to the south and with Thai Nguyen and Bac Kan Provinces to the west. The provincial capital of Lang Son is Lang Son City, 160km from Hanoi, 130km from Cao Bang.
