Xin Man District of Ha Giang Province of Vietnam is 140km from Ha Giang Provincial Capital Town, 40km from Hoang Su Phi District of Ha Giang Province and 60km from Bac Ha Town of Lao Cai Province. Xin Man is right on the border between Vietnam and China.

Xin Man is, as of this writing, well hidden and completely surrounded by wild mountains and forests. There's a single road from Hoang Su Phi to Xin Man which is constantly in bad conditions due to landslides and the road from Bac Ha to Xin Man is not accessible at the moment.

Xin Man is inhabited by 15 ethnic groups including the Nung, the Flower H'mong, the Tay, La Chi, Kinh, Hoa...There's a market every Sunday morning at Coc Pai Town,  the capital town of Xin Man District.
