Khanh Hoa is a coastal province, located in the south of the Central Region of Vietnam. Khanh Hoa Province is bordered by Phu Yen Province to the north; by Ninh Thuan Province to the south; by Dak Lak and Lam Dong Provinces to the west and by the East Vietnam Sea to the east.

The capital city of Khanh Hoa Province is Nha Trang City, 1 hour flight from Ho Chi Minh City and 1 hour 40 minutes from Hanoi. Nha Trang possesses the best beaches and the most stunning coral reefs in Vietnam and the city itself has long been a popular tourist attraction.

Khanh Hoa Province has hilly terrain to the west and narrow strips of flat plains along the coast. There are different bays and islands in the province including Ninh Van Bay, Nha Trang Bay, Cam Ranh Bay, Monkey Island, Bamboo Island,... with turquoise sea waters and white sand beaches. Many of these bays and islands are home to eco tourism sites and luxury beach resorts. There are many colorful coral reefs in the sea of Khanh Hoa which are the best in Vietnam for scuba-diving.

The climate of Khanh Hoa Province includes the dry season from January to August and the rainy season from September to December. The average rainfall is 1200-1800mm per annum. While it is best time to travel to Khanh Hoa during the months of January-August, it is likely that accommodations are booked out most of the time and that it's overcrowded in some places. During the rainy season, it is likely that you will not be able to visit the tourist sites due to torrential rain.
