The capital of Ninh Thuan Province is Phan Rang - Thap Cham City, 105km south of Nha Trang, 150km north of Phan Thiet City, 350km north of Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), 110km east of Da Lat. Ninh Thuan can be visited easily by road, by rail or by air.

Ninh Thuan terrain goes lower from the north-west to the south-east which includes mountainous area mostly to the west and north-west ( 63.2% ), uneven and hilly terrain in the middle (14.4%), and flat area along the coast (22.4).

Ninh Thuan Province has 2 seasons per year: the rainy season from May through November and the dry season from December to April. The average annual rainfall is 700-800mm along the coast and Phan Rang Thap Cham City, annual rainfalls are higher in the mountains. Natural evaporation in the province may range from 670 to 1287mm per year, in some regions natural water evaporation is higher than rainfall. Ninh Thuan and Binh Thuan are the most dry provinces of Vietnam.

Getting there and away

There are daily flights from Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang to Nha Trang – Cam Ranh Airport which is 50km north of Phan Rang Thap Cham City. There are daily Re-unification Express Trains between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City which stop at Thap Cham Train Station located in Phan Rang – Thap Cham City and close to Ninh Chu Beach. National Highway No. 1 connecting the main regions of Vietnam runs through Ninh Thuan Province, National Road No. 27 connects Ninh Thuan and the Central Highlands of Vietnam. So, the tourist attractions of Ninh Thuan Province can be conveniently combined with those in neighboring provinces.
