 After the discovery of Da Lat in the 19th century, the French colonialist wanted to turn Da Lat into the capital city of Indochina. Best efforts were made and the most talented architects were called in to build the city as beautiful as possible. The plan was aborted due to changes in the politics of Indochina. Still Da Lat benefited from the plan and remains as one of the most romantic destinations on Earth...

The Bidoup Nui Ba National Park is located on the Lang Biang Plateau, 35km northeast of Da Lat City. The name of the national park is after the names of the two highest mountain peaks in the national park: Bidoup (2,287m) and Nui Ba (2,167m).

The area around Da Lat in the Central Highlands of Vietnam is dubbed as an Endemic Bird Area (EBA) with several endemic bird species. Paradissa has several bird watching tours in this area as well as other famed birding sites in Vietnam. Below are photos of one of our birding trips to the Bidoup-Nui Ba National Park in the rainy season.

Da Lat is located on the Lang Biang Plateau, southern area of the Central Highlands of Vietnam. Da Lat is characterized by pine forests, lakes, waterfalls, beautiful flower fields and French architecture.

The rail track between Da Lat and Phan Rang-Thap Cham (Ninh Thuan) was built by the French from 1932 and completed in 1938 to facilitate tourism to Da Lat then. With the ups and downs of history, what left of the old amazing railroad is the rail track between Da Lat and Trai Mat. Visitors to Da Lat, who loves to experience something of the bygone times, want to take this train journey for half an hour to sense something of history.

Da Lat is perched on the Lang Biang Plateau, 45 minutes flights from Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon). The city offers temperate climate, green mountains, fresh waterfalls, serene lakes, romantic pine forests and elegant French architecture, which make it the destinations of Vietnamese honeymooners and artists.  

Da Lat, which is on 1,500m above sea level, has amazing natural settings of rolling pine hills, flower lanes and fields, high mountains, waterfalls, lakes,... 

Lam Dong Province is located to the south of the Central Highlands of Vietnam. The province is better known to the visitors for its capital – Da Lat which is located in the pristine plateau of Lang Biang.
