The Tram Gian Pagoda - Ha Tay

Tram Gian Pagoda or Quang Nghiem Tu is located on top of the Tran Mountain with large garden of old big timber trees. The pagoda was built in the 12th century (around 1185 A.D) and the name of the pagoda means “The Pagoda of a Hundred Compartments”. Most of the current architecture was from the 17th century.

Thay Pagoda Ha Tay

Thay Pagoda (The Master Pagoda) was first built from the 12 century by Master Tu Dao Hanh. The pagoda has a nice setting with surrounding mountains and lakes. There are 03 main buildings: the back one is for worshiping the monks who had practiced here; the middle one is for honoring Buddhism and the front one is for ceremonies.

Duong Lam Village of Ha Tay Province is over 50km from Hanoi and can be day-tripped by bike, by motorbike or by car. Duong Lam Village and others nearby have been in a poor area of Vietnam, and maybe that's the good reason that some old buildings survive the damage of time, of wars... and keep on boasting the weathered atmosphere and quaint old feel as you walk your way through the narrow roads flanked with houses built of sandstone...

Quan Ba - Ha Giang

Quan Ba is a district of Ha Giang Province to the far-north of Vietnam. The capital town of Quan Ba is Tam Son, 50km north of Ha Giang provincial capital. The land is part of the famed Dong Van Plateau which is listed to the Global Geoparks Network by the UNESCO. Quan Ba shares a border of 54km with China to the north and west.

Dong Van Market is in session every Sunday from 06:30 A.M to 10:00 A.M where ethnic people from the whole district of Dong Van would gather for trading.

Yen Minh - Ha Giang

Yen Minh is a district of Ha Giang Province, 100km north-east of Ha Giang City. Yen Minh is part of Dong Van Karst Plateau – a member of the Global Geopark Network, bordered to the north-west by China, to the west by Quan Ba District, to the south-west by Vi Xuyen, to the south by Bac Me, to the south-east by Cao Bang Province, to the east by Meo Vac and Dong Van Districts.

Xin Man - Ha Giang

Xin Man District of Ha Giang Province is 150km from Ha Giang Provincial Capital Town, 40km from Hoang Su Phi District of Ha Giang Province and 60km from Bac Ha Town of Lao Cai Province. Xin Man is right on the border between Vietnam and China.

Vuong Family's Residence - Ha Giang

Vuong Family was considered the King of the Hmong People in Dong Van, Ha Giang in the late 19th century and early 20th century. The residence with Chinese architecture was built in the scenic valley of Sa Phin, 20km from Dong Van Town.

Ha Giang is the northernmost province of Vietnam. The capital city is Ha Giang City, 312km from Hanoi. Due to poor roads and tightening security conditions in the past, Ha Giang was not open to foreign tourists until recently. Ha Giang is among the few places in Vietnam that are untouched by mass tourism. In fact, the area is not on the itinerary of most travellers (including the adventure travellers) to Vietnam. And Ha Giang is not visited frequently by Vietnamese tourists either.

Meo Vac - Ha Giang

Meo Vac District of Ha Giang is 150km from the provincial capital town of Ha Giang Province. Meo Vac shares the border with Dong Van District of Ha Giang Province and Bao Lam District of Cao Bang Province. Meo Vac has most of the terrain in the Rock Plateau of Dong Van and above 1000m above sea level. The road from Meo Vac Town to Dong Van Town is 23km which is via the sublime beauty of Ma Pi Leng Pass. Meo Vac has a harsh climate in the winter which is from November to April with dry and freezing cold weather.

Ma Pi Leng Pass - Ha Giang

Ma Pi Leng Pass is among  the most beautiful mountain passes in Vietnam. The pass is nearly 2,000m in elevation and the length is about 20km between Dong Van Town and Meo Vac Town, in Ha Giang Province. The mountain peaks around the pass are over 2,000m above sea level and covered in cloud most of the time. Deep down the base of the pass is the Nho Que River which looks like a thin thread from above. Visiting Ma Pi Leng on a clear day, you'll be charmed by the sublime landscape with myriad mountain peaks all around and deep ravines right by your side...

Ma Le Market - Ha Giang

Ma Le Market is about 10km north-west of Dong Van Town, on the way to Lung Cu Flag Tower. Ma Le is not as famous as Dong Van Market and people come here are mostly from local ethnic communities. The market is on every Saturday morning, but some restaurants start selling from Friday late afternoon. Local boys and girls also come early for a drink and for socializing.
