Family Holidays at Pu Luong Nature Reserve Overview
On this trip we will visit the Lung Van Valley (Valley of the Clouds), the highest land of the Muong People in Hoa Binh and Son-Ba-Muoi, the highest villages of the Thai communities at the Pu Luong Nature Reserve. We will not travel further down the valley of Pu Luong on this tour.

Detailed itinerary
Day1 Hanoi – Hoa Binh - Lung Van Valley (Valley of the Clouds) – Ba Village on top of Pu Luong Nature Reserve/Visit Son Village (L/D)
0800 Pick-up from your hotel in Hanoi. Then our adventure continues through scenic countryside with amazing mountains all the way to Hoa Binh City. Then the terrain goes up abruptly and the landscape gets wilder...
Once the mountains get really captivating, we will turn into a small road with steep gradients all the way to Lung Van Valley, the Valley of the Clouds of the Muong People. Traditionally, the area was called Muong Bi, the highest of the lands of the Muong People in Hoa Binh Province. It was just recently that the tiny road was expanded and upgraded and tourism started trickling in.
Lung Van is lovely with lush corn plantation on stunning hillsides and rice fields in the valley center. We will have a walk around the valley to take in the fresh air and have some nice photos. Then, the road goes up further for about 10km to Son – Muoi – Ba (or Son – Ba – Muoi as often referred to) which is the highest settlement of those in the Pu Luong Nature Reserve which is home to the Thai People. Our home for tonight is at the Ba Village.

Day2 Walking Tour of the Ba Village/Pu Luong – Hanoi (B/L/-)
Breakfast at the homestay.
Half a day walking tour of the Ba Village and take in the fresh sublime nature of the Pu Luong Nature Reserve: rice terraces, mountains and a glimpse of the dense forest of Pu Luong. Then we will get back to the homestay and ready for checking out.
In the afternoon we travel back to Hanoi with more stops en route for taking in the scenic landscapes we might have missed earlier.
We’ll arrive back in the city at around 17:00-1800 hours. We trust you had a great family vacation at Pu Luong with Paradissa.
