The T'Nung Lake at Gia LaiGia Lai is located in the centre of the Central Highlands of Vietnam. The draw-card of local tourism is the former battlefields in the Vietnam War, the most famous of which is the Ia Drang Valley.   • Gia Lai is located deep in the Central Highlands of Vietnam with Pleiku as the provincial capital city. The average altitude of the province is 700-800m above sea level. Gia Lai is bordered to the north by Kon Tum Province, to the north-east by Quang Ngai Province, to the east by Binh Dinh Province, to the south-east by Phu Yen Province, to the south by Dak Lak Province and to the west by Cambodia.

  • The valley derives its name from the nearby Drang River in Vietnam's Central Highlands, was the site  of the first major encounters between U.S Army and the People's Army of Vietnam (PAVN).
