Vinh Moc Tunnel - Quang Tri

After the Geneva Accord in 1954, the north and the south of Vietnam was temporarily divided at the 17th parallel and the Ben Hai River was the temporary military demarcation line. The Demilitarized Zone (or DMZ) of no more than 5km in width was created on either side of the Ben Hai River.

Phu Tho Province is located to the west of Hanoi and is the gateway to the wild North-West of Vietnam. Phu Tho is little known to the foreign visitors to Vietnam, while it is popular among the Vietnamese. The province was where the founder kings of Vietnam (Hung Kings, Hung Vuong, Vua Hung) started the first Viet-identity kingdom and there is still the Hung Kings Temple near the provincial capital - Viet Tri City.

The Hung Kings Temple - Phu Tho

The Hung Kings Temple (Den Hung) is a complex of temples first built in the 10th century A.D on the Nghia Linh Mountains, 10km from Viet Tri City (of Phu Tho Province) and 90km from Hanoi. Much of the complex nowadays was constructed in the 15th century. The Temple is dedicated to Hung Kings (Vua Hung), the Founder Kings of Van Lang ,  the first Vietnamese-identity kingdom dated back to 2879 B.C.

Thung Nang - Ninh Binh

Thung Nang of Ninh Binh Province is a flooded area adjacent to Tam Coc and close to Bich Dong. While Tam Coc is flanked by rice fields and has more activities, Thung Nang is a pristine and untouched area. There's not much human activities here, only a few people fishing in the wild area...To get to Thung Nang, you'll travel for 1km from Tam Coc on the way to Bich Dong Pagoda. The rowing boat trip at Thung Nang is about 2hours 15 minutes.

Bich Dong Pagoda Ninh Binh

Bich Dong is a cave pagoda built in the 15th century at Ninh Hai Commune, Hoa Lu District, Ninh Binh Province. Bich Dong Pagoda comprises 3 pagodas here called Chua Ha, Chua Trung and Chua Thuong all of which are built leaning against a limestone mountain. The main building is the Cave Pagoda (Chua Trung) built into a cave in the mountain.

Bai Dinh Pagoda - Ninh Binh

Hoa Lu was the site of the ancient capital city of Vietnam in the 10th century. Vietnam adopted Buddhism as the national religion at the time, and Hoa Lu and the adjacent area were home to a number of Buddhist pagodas under the patronage of the royal court. Bai Dinh Pagoda was among the most sacred Buddhist pagodas at the time and in 2003 a new Bai Dinh Pagoda was built in the same valley  with the old Bai Dinh Pagoda and claimed one of the biggest Buddhist pagodas in Asia...The old Bai Dinh Pagoda is still well preserved and shrouded in the Zen atmosphere on top of the Dinh Mountain.

Cat Tien National Park - Dong Nai

Cat Tien National Park is 150km from Ho Chi Minh City and 175km from Da Lat. The park covers 71,350 hectares stretching in the provinces of Dong Nai, Lam Dong and Binh Phuoc in southern Vietnam. Cat Tien extends from the south of the Central Highlands of Vietnam with tropical humid forests to the forests in the low-land Mekong Delta; this combined with the auspicious climatic conditions result in high concentration of species of the flora and fauna in the national park.
