Like any village in Vietnam, there's always a community house built in the center of the village. The Community House is the center of the village's life: all policies and all affairs of each village are done at the Community House; village founders are worshiped in the community house. The Community House is the connection of every one in the village and this is the core of the Vietnamese culture.

The community house of Dinh Bang in Bac Ninh Province was known from the 12th century but was destroyed in the vicissitude of history. The current Dinh Bang Community house was built from 1700 and completed in 1736 and is said to be one of the only 2 community houses in Vietnam surviving the French destruction. To the front of Dinh Bang Community House is the Epitaph behind which is the village pond, formerly a part of the Tieu Tuong River

- Then there is an Epitaph which looks like a book displaying a poem in old-style verses wishing the best to the community. The Epitaph has another important function that is the block toxic energy from having direct effects to the complex.

All supporting structures and the floor of Dinh Bang Community House are made of iron wood

- Behind the Epitaph is a Triple Gate which has a big entrance in the middle with two side entrances to either side. Scientifically, the gate architecture makes it look in good balance. Normally only one or two side gates are open while the main entrance (the biggest one) is shut. This makes it convenient for the community house keeper. But the Triple Gate has many meanings and association behind it one of which is in Buddhism expressing Yes, No and the Middle (right path)…
