Dong Cao becomes a tourist attraction spontaneously and there has been no official administration of tourism for the area just yet. There are no tourist facilities at Dong Cao as of writing. For overnight accommodation, visitors normally stay in camps that they bring along. Some would choose to stay in local ethnic Dao families. For those who go camping, there are no toilets and no bathrooms in the prairie; you'd have to walk for over 15 minutes to a family for nature's call!

The hike from Ban Ga to Dong Cao goes up all the way and the path could be extremely slippery when it is wet. There are impressive views of the villages from the high path. Be sure you have plenty of drinking water before taking on this trip as it is not readily available on the way.
