Hiking Tour Hang Kia – Mai Chau – 2 Days

Hang Kia – Mai Chau Hiking Tour is a moderate hiking/trekking experience at the Hang Kia Valley in Mai Chau, Hoa Binh. The trip is for 2 days, 1 night.

 Accommodation for the trip is either at the homestay (house on stilts) or a private wooden bungalow with en-suite shower/toilet. Either has fairly good conditions and Western toilet.

What to expect:
Enjoy untouched natural landscape of a relatively secluded valley on the elevation of 1,200m above sea level which is part of the Moc Chau Plateau geographically.
Engaging into the daily life of the local Red Hmong People.
Possible unreal landscape of ocean of clouds from September through March.
Trekking in the untouched mountains around Hang Kia.

Detailed itinerary

Day1 Hanoi – Hang Kia (L/D)
0800 A.M Our driver and guide pick you up from the hotel and transfer you to the Northwest of Vietnam. The road trip offers spectacular mountainscape with breathtaking views.
11:30 On arrival at Pa Co, trek for 7 km to the village of Hang Kia, much secluded from the outside world until recently. Picnic lunch amid fresh natural landscape.
14:30-15:00 Arrive at Hang Kia, check into the room and have time for refreshment.
16:30 Visit a Hmong family and learn about the Hmong People at Hang Kia.
Evening: lovely dinner and free time.

Optional activities with additional costs:
Make drawings on cloth using melting beewax;
Herbal foot bath;
Learning about the work of a Hmong Black Smith.

Day2 Hang Kia – Hanoi (B/L)
Breakfast at the home.
08:00 A.M Trek downhill for 3 hours from Hang Kia to Cun Pheo.
1100-1130: Arrive at Cun Pheo, rejoin our car for the trip to Mai Chau (Pom Coong Village) for lunch.
Brief visit to Mai Chau Valley.
14:00-1430: Transfer back to Hanoi.
1730-1800: Arrive back at Hanoi. We trust you had a wonderful hiking adventure at Hang Kia – Mai Chau with Paradissa.
