The Mia Pagoda is located in Dong Sang Village, Duong Lam Commune, Son Tay Town, Hanoi. The pagoda is among the most beautiful ancient pagodas in Vietnam.
Archaeological artifacts suggest the presence of a Buddhist Pagoda on the same site since the 13th century which had been in deterioration in the 17th century. It was then that Lady Ngoc Dung (a wife of Lord Trinh Trang) mobilized funds and labors to renovate the pagoda, the architecture of which has been preserved until nowadays.
The Mia Pagoda shares common architecture with most ancient pagodas in northern Vietnam: curved roofs, arhat statues, gate... but it has a distinct feature which lays in the Cuu Pham Lien Hoa Tower.
Paradissa offers day tours by car, cycling tours to the Duong Lam Village and the Mia Pagoda from Hanoi.
