Weather and Climate, Best Time to Visit
The best time to visit the Phu Quy Island is from April through August. It is sunny and the sea is calm, the temperatures are mostly pleasant. The sea is not calm from December through March due to the Northeasterly Monsoon and it is high rainy season with possible typhoons from September through November.

1/ Cao Cat Mountain
The mountain has rock cliffs which remind you of the Grand Canyon National Park. The hike is lovely and the the views of the surrounding sea are breathtaking.
2/ Trieu Duong Beach
The beach has really fine sand with turquoise blue sea water. It is a version of paradise on earth.
3/ The waterfront road
The road is a great place for stroll around the island: you have relaxing time by the blue ocean with caressing breezes.

Phu Quy is famed for great seafood for reasonable prices. There are quite a few restaurants offering food to tourists. Alternatively you can ask local families to cook meals for you.
How to get there and away
The only way to get to the Phu Quy Island is by boat from Phan Thiet City. There are a few companies commuting the two destinations daily. A slow boat trip takes 6 hours and a speed boat trip takes 3 hours. The boats normally leave Phan Thiet in the morning and leaves Phu Quy for Phan Thiet in the early afternoon.
How to get around
The most convenient way to get around the Phu Quy Island is to rent a scooter from a local shop and ride it yourself. There are smaller islands around Phu Quy and you can hire boats from local fishermen to get there.
