  • Suspected of infection (who have entered Vietnam from infected countries and regions and who have the symptoms like coughing, fever,... All have been put in special quaratine): 1,729;

 News of Tourist Attraction Closure related to the Coronavirus

09-March-2020:

  • Ly Son Island (Quang Ngai Province) stops receiving tourists be it Vietnamese or foreigners. The island authorities encourage all the tourists on the island return island. No more permits granted to tourists from today.

10-March-2020:

  • Hanoi temporarily closes some tourist attractions for disinfectant spray: Hoa Lo Prison Museum, the Temple of Literature, Thang Long (Hanoi) Citadel, Ngoc Son Temple, King Ly Thai To Monument.
  • Cat Ba Island halts receiving visitors to fight the Coronavirus until there are new developments. The Cat Hai and Gia Luan Communes are locked down due to recent visit of an infected British traveler.
  • Hoi An cancels all visits to the Tra Que Village, Thanh Ha Ceramic Village, Cu Lao Cham Island.
  • Binh Thuan stops granting permits to  Vietnamese and foreign tourists to travel to the Phu Quy Island.
  • Con Dao Islands (Ba Ria Vung Tau Province) temporarily halts receiving foreign visitors until new developments related to the Coronavirus. The islands' authorities encourage current foreign visitors return inland. All tourist activities are cancelled on the islands from today.

11-March-2020:

  • Quang Ninh cancels all visits, travel, cruises, tours to Halong Bay, Bai Tu Long Bay, Co To Islands, Quan Lan Island, Van Don, Yen Tu Complex,... and all other tourist attractions in the province from 12-March-2020 to 27-March-2020.

12-March-2020:

  • Dong Thap halts reveiving foreign tourists, cancels all visits by foreign visitors to attractions in the province, denies entries by foreign travelers at border-crossings with Cambodia. All means of transport be it on waterways or on roads are to be checked thoroughly. Local tour operators, travel companies are to be informed and to abind by this newly applied policy. The new policy is to help stop the spread of the coronavirus disease in Vietnam and in the world.
  • Tien Giang stops visits by foreign visitors to the province. All means of tranport, hotels, lodges, guesthouses and homestays,... in the province are not permitted to host foreign visitors. Local tourist offices, tour companies, travel agents, travel agencies are to abind by the new regulations.

13-March-2020:

  • Da Nang halts public gatherings including: cyber gaming centers, discos, karaokes, massage parlours, bars,
  • Hanoi halts public gatherings including: karaokes, bars, cultural performances,..
  • Ninh Binh closes all tourist attractions in the province, local tourist-related businesses are not allowed to provide services to foreign visitors who come from coronavirus-affected countries/territories and who have not been in quarantine for 14 days in Vietnam.

14-March-2020:

  • Ho Chi Minh City halts public gatherings including: cinemas, cyber gaming centers, discos, karaokes, massage parlours, bars, pubs, restaurants... in District 1.
  • Hue closes all tourist attractions in efforts to fight the spread of the novel coronavirus.
  • An Giang halts providing services to foreign visitors in efforts to fight the spread of the novel coronavirus.

15-March-2020:

  • Ben Tre halts providing services to foreign visitors in efforts to fight the spread of the novel coronavirus.

17-March-2020:

  • Kien Giang (including Phu Quoc Island) halts providing services to foreign visitors as well as Vietnamese tourists from infected areas in Vietnam in efforts to fight the spread of the novel coronavirus.
  • Binh Thuan (including Phan Thiet and Mui Ne) halts providing services to foreign visitors. All current visitors are required to follow instructions by local health authorities. Karaoke, pubs, bars, discos, tourist attractions,... must be closed.
  • Ninh Thuan (including Ninh Chu Beach) halts providing toursit services to all visitors. Karaoke, pubs, bars, discos, tourist attractions,... must be closed.
  • Binh Dinh (including Quy Nhon) halts providing toursit services to all visitors. Karaoke, pubs, bars, discos, tourist attractions,... must be closed. No boat service to Cu Lao Xanh allowed.
