Vinh Phuc Province is a buffer area between the the Red River Delta and the mountains in the north-western region of Vietnam. Vinh Phuc is 50km north-west of Hanoi. Vinh Phuc is getting to be a big industrial areas in Vietnam nowadays with investments from global companies.

Vinh Phuc Geography

Vinh Phuc is bordered to the north by Tuyen Quang, to the east by Thai Nguyen, to the west by Phu Tho and to the south and south-east by Ha Noi. The Lo River (a tributary of Red River) which flows south-easterly is the natural border between Vinh Phuc and Phu Tho.

The high mountain range at Tam Dao with peaks higher an 1,500m above sea level is located to the north-east of Vinh Phuc. It is flat plain and flat river basins in the south and south-east of Tam Dao.

Vinh Phuc Climate

There are four seasons at Vinh Phuc which is the same as for the Red River Delta: Spring from March through April, summer from May through July, autumn from August through October, and winter from November through February. There may be typhoons in the summer and autumn. The annual rainfall is 1,400-1,600mm. The temperatures range from below freezing point to 39oC; it is much lower temperatures in Tam Dao area than the lowland.
